Atractions


The hill was desecrated by grotesque constructions (the famous bunkers in 1985 ) and other extraneous to its history (installation of an altar to the Virgin in 1991) , but is slowly returning to its original shape. The neighborhood extends to the sides of the hill and reaches the edges of the city center . "Calle Quinta" as a troubled river of cars must be crossed by a small bridge to provide access to all the inhabitants to the city center .

San Antonio is a haven for artists , intellectuals, artisans and elderly with their curiosity and ingenuity have richly decorated open workshops. Since 1992 the house opened and antiquarians with them came a time of gradual restoration of beautiful homes that enriched the heritage of the neighborhood. Overall San Antonio is a neighborhood with low ceilings , protected by municipal laws (legislation that is not met ) , where the predominant clay tile , smooth walls and windows and doors in a simple style with colonial air.


The Santa Procesión through the streets of the neighborhood every 15 days and that is perhaps the most traditional and colorful procession throughout the city is a sight to residents and tourists . The Feast of San Antonio , the pots , the festival of kites and Christmas decorations on the hill are also other living expressions that preserves this neighborhood.
The houses , people , streets, their activity and their parties have placed it as the most important area in terms of artistic , cultural and architectural view of the entire city .
